Though I think another year would be good for him if he is essentially a guaranteed first round pick then I agree he is gone (as would I in that situation)

If he’s in the bottom half of the first round, he would be slotted for between $2-3M for his rookie year. We just committed that much for a QB who has yet to take a snap. I would think we could come up with the same to keep an established hoops superstar in Knoxville for one more year. And maybe we can. Maybe he wants to go pro and develop his game. But would he be better served coming off the bench for a middling NBA team, or playing full time for a team that will be competing for championships?

Youth are impulsive and reckless. If he stays then he has a mature advisor in his corner. If someone makes the offer I would think he would take it. Regardless... we are snake bit and we will be lucky if he comes back.
