If you haven't yet seen Without Remorse on Amazon, you can skip it.

I've been waiting nearly 30 years for someone to make this movie. If it's not Clancy's best book, it's easily the one that translates best to the screen. But all this film has in common with the source material is the title. Why they felt the need to completely re-write a damn masterpiece, I'll never know. So disappointing.

That is the best book I have ever read.  I’m like you... I’ve waited forever for this movie.  Have not seen it yet but I am very disappointed by your post.

I go back and forth between Without Remorse and Debt of Honor as my favorite Clancy novel. When I first read DOH, I loved it right up until the climax, which, at the time, I thought was too outlandish and unrealistic. Then it actually happened on 9/11.

WR is unlike any of his other books. Just a more intimate, personal story that SHOULD have made for a great movie.

I saw a few bits of the trailer for this movie and I instantly thought it looked like TRAYESH.  I really would not be surprised if it is also chock full 'o' virtue signaling.  I don't think I can hate myself that much to try and watch this flick.  But hey, it's a great idea to read the book again.  It has been too long.

I was a huge fan of Clancy but I recall not wanting to read a book about Kelly/Clark, I was strictly a Jack Ryan fan.

Of the Ryan novels, Hunt for Red October is of course great, I liked Cardinal of the Kremlin a bit better, was a bit disappointed by Clear and Present Danger, and was basically out after that one.

I read the synopsis of Without Remorse, and it does sound good.   Fun fact...Heroin WAS smuggled in the coffins of American soldiers, I saw a documentary about that.

I liked the Cardinal as well, my 3rd favorite of the series

All men dream: but not equally.
Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.
