upset at the lack of communication. Hope his decision works out for him. Could be he saw no playing time right away. I think he is a LB.

to the Jancik/Shoop situation, if so then it reveals his immaturity to expect that would be told him before it happened, they wouldn't risk that getting out prematurely.

There is more to the story but I suspect bigger fish are being processed

Based on what I I've seen/heard Butch and company asked him to greyshirt or blueshirt (I get these colored shirts mixed up). The Summer he'd be on his own dime and then in the Fall be on scholarship. Kid said no.

Believe he was hurt this past HS season and didn't get to play much. Word is he visited the U of Memphis this past weekend.

He was asked to blueshirt, which means delaying enrolling from June to the fall semester, but he would have gone on scholarship as soon as he arrived and count towards next year's class.  He didn't like the idea.

And he was going to redshirt in 2016 either way.  He missed most of this past season with an injury and isn't going to be ready to play.

My take is that it is probably a good thing that the staff found out that the kid is inflexible before he got here.  If he wasn't willing to do that, then perhaps it is just best for all parties involved that he doesn't come to UT.
