It wasn't Spyre
It was the staff who wouldn't allow an exhorbatent outlay for one (1) player

Plus, he was pissed his dad got fired and he wasn't happy with the amount of hard love that RG gave him

You can say that, but by all accounts he played very well at Texas A&M. That's all I care about.

I get that there is fan resentment  over his behavior during the previous recruiting process.

And THAT...does not concern me at all.

HE was inconsitent as hell there and the discipline at Ole Piss is not there so, no, He will regress there

Besides, we don't play his sorry ass next year either

The reason he did not come, nor will not come is that he can't handle the DISCIPLINE that he would suffer with Rodney Garner

By all reports, he played well and is highly regarded. Not sure why you think he was inconsistent.

He was considered the number 1 player in the portal.

https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/ole-miss-football/walter-nolen-former-texas-am-defender-rated-no-1-transfer-names-2-finalists/

Fans being butt hurt that he picked A&M over the Vols to begin with can make that choice.

For me, to quote the godfather...."its just business"

Because with the NIL.  It is.

I watched him in several games
Just like at Powell he took a LOT of plays off

Maybe so. He is not in this list of Top 25 DL, though Omari is.

https://thegamehaus.com/college-football/top-25-college-football-interior-defensive-linemen-2/2023/08/10/

But in spite of you saying he "doesn't want the discipline" that Garner can bring, but I'd like to see Garner take a shot at it.

Interesting tidbit...as I was searching for information on DL, I found that one site has Pearce no. 1 overall in the 2025 draft.  Very interesting!
