As we all know, there was almost a complete turnover in the coaching staff from last year.  Here is an article about some of the hires:

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7458507/alabama-crimson-tide-sal-sunseri-leaving-job-tennessee-volunteers

The article is about Pittman (OL), Graham (RB) and Sunseri (DC).  I have to say the first two hires were great...not so sure about the last one.  Along those lines, I wonder how sincere Saban is in this comment:

"Sal is an outstanding coach and really did an excellent job with each and every responsibility he had while he was here at the University of Alabama. Although we hate to see Sal go, we understand this is an opportunity for him to grow in this profession and take on the role of defensive coordinator," Alabama coach Nick Saban said in a statement.

Having said that, I hope Sunseri gets his shizzle together.  We may not have the greatest talent on D, but we can do far better than what has been happening so far.

Speaking of the staff, the great majority of them have two year contracts.  Hm.  Coiner has a one-year contract and Chaney's is for three, all the rest are for two years.

Hart no doubt had a hand in the contract negotiations.  Certain implications come to mind.

Like I said, we are better off going 8-5, returning all our players, and taking our best shot in 2013 with the current staff.  A reset seems to be so much better suited to next year.

ICBW, but FWIW, TIMO.
