I'm not convinced Schiano was necessarily all Currie's idea. But he'll take the fall for it.

Cut the puppeteer's strings and do not allow them to be re-attached to the new hire.

If that can be accomplished, I am all for it.  Might be hard to do when a Haslem is Governor.  Best bet might be to bring the old man out of retirement or whatever it is he's doing these days.

Fired, but not immediately. Let him hire the new coach. If he pulls it out, he gets a conditional reprieve. If it falls apart, he's out.

I say give Currie a memorandum of understanding to extend his contract that includes a healthy signing bonus...don't sign it....THEN FIRE HIS ASS!
