Until you notice that they scored over 40 points against the likes of Eastern Michigan (62), Delaware State (79), and MTSU (45).  Against power 5 schools, they have yet to break 30 and the highest score of 26 came against Vanderbilt.

On the other side of the ledger, they are only 70th in the NCAA in scoring D, and have surrendered more than 40 points 4 times this season, including 40 to the at times offensively challenged gators.  They also surrendered more points to USC jr (31) than any team other than U Mass.

On paper, they are weak defensively and we should score early and often, and their offense is average at best.

Given our defensive "performance" against UK, I am worried they score points on us, but while Mizzou is vareging slightly more points per game than Kentucky, they rolled to big scores against OOC opponents and struggled to score against most SEC opponents.  Furthermore their running game while above averaged (41st in the country) is worse than Kentucky's and their QB is not much of a threat to run.

We should blow Mizzou off the field, but given this teams' ability to play down to it's opponent's level it may be closer than anticipated.

I do expect an easy win though, and it should be better optics than Kentucky.

I never thought they would score that much on Vandy's defense yesterday. Surprised me.

Yeah.  I choose to believe that means Vandy's D is overated.

Looking at Vandy, their only bad defensive performance is against Georgia Tech (38).

They held Auburn to 23, which prior to yesterday (7) was impressive.  They held Kentucky to 20 and Florida to 13.

Impressive, but at the same time they don't score much, so other teams don't have to show the complete playbook.

Overall, only bammer has truly shut down our offense this year.  We did struggle against USC jr, but Muschamp is really really good at D and they have legit SEC talent, especially on that side of the ball. Vandy does not, and like UK, we torched them last year.

I am still worried about Vandy, but I honestly think that they are a better match than USC jr in Colombia.  After all, Nashville is the Vols home away from home!

In the meantime, we have to beat Mizzou this weekend.
