...which had run the table against a bunch of tomato cans, got their first real test this weekend- and took 2 of 3 AT Arizona State.  I still don't think this is a CWS-caliber team, but it's certainly looking like a corner has been turned.  It's been a long time coming.

Serrano pissed me off when he let the Sevier County kid escape to South Carolina, but he's reeling me back in pretty quick right now. 

Seriously, I remember some UT fans questioning Serrano's hire. Right now it's looking like that hire was one of the few things Hamilton did well.

Nope- he was hired by Joan Cronan.  But I understand that Hammy really wanted to hire Dave's brother Pedro.

Crowe was never going to go to UT.  He started going to South Carolina camps as a young kid.  That was his dream school. 

One of my nephews was a pitching instructor to him during his teen years.  Great kid.  I wish him the best at South Carolina.
