We needed a 1st down there before we could take it to the locker room, and we probably weren't going to get it by running the ball. Oh well, let's just get a stop here.

There was about 55 seconds left. If we would have run it, that it would have took about 5 or 6 seconds, then we would have taken another 40 off the clock before the punt. Saban would have used his first timeout had there not been a first down. The end result would have been about the same absent a first down.
