Based on reports Kennedy tore his ACL in practice and is out for the season...He has another year if he can get healthy.
Also...Pruitt said the 1st few plays including the first play that WVU blew us up on was not Kennedy's fault....Said the guard Ryan Johnson blew his assignment.

Interestingly Johnson will most likely now move over to C

Who was it telling us the other day that this program isn't snakebitten? We'll see if this is the start of our annual injury trend.

You do have a habit of taking pride in being right about bad news for our program. Silver lining.....it started later this year, and while I think Kennedy played well, at least it wasn't Trey Smith. In years past, it seems it was always THE key player at the position (Kirkland, Jennings, Tuttle, etc). I heard Hyams say Monday that our problems were all on the right side of the ball, meaning Johnson and Richmond. But maybe Johnson will be a better Center than Guard. I guess we have to hope so.

Post 1st quarter it seemed to me that the majority, nowhere near all, were on the right side. The right side had its moments but there was a serious lack of consistency

Yeah. I thought it sounded exaggerated.

Who was it telling us the other day that this program isn't snakebitten? We'll see if this is the start of our annual injury trend. FTR, I know I often mention how our program is "snakebitten" or "cursed", and I take flack from some here for it. But obviously, I don't believe we're under some voodoo hex. It's not "superstition". What I actually mean is that when we continue to do things the same way we've always done, i.e. hiring coaches out of the bargain bin, it's silly to expect different results. MAYBE we'll stumble on the right guy, and maybe it's Pruitt (though frankly I wouldn't bet on it). But those are long odds compared to hiring a proven winner, which leaders at UT apparently refuse to do. (And yes, I realize that under the circumstances, Pruitt was probably the best we could get at that point. But those circumstances were self-inflicted.)

How many times did the announcers mention he use to coach high school ball. It was like a dig every time.....

I certainly didn't take it that way. They also mentioned his success at bammer, uga and FSU as a positive, which it certainly is.

All the Fulmer bashers from 2005-2008 should sleep well I guess. Cause changing coaches is simple and will always solve your problems! One game with a gigantic mismatch between Pass O and Pass D means nothing. I know we have our lumps ahead this season, but that was coming regardless. And while i get your point, what do injuries have to do with coaching changes? Nothing really, unless you think Butch's weakness holding on to a strength coach had something to do with it. I think last season not all the injuries were that serious perhaps. But I stick by the fact that since Butch ran a lot more plays with his hurry up offense, guys were that much likely to be injured. I don't expect that this year.
