I'm not really downing his ability, but his fit in the offense we think Jones and crew want to run. Worley doesn't fit either, imo. I just think the end of this year is the end of trying to force a square peg in a round hole. It's all speculation, sure, but I just think this offseason is when they turn the switch and go for a guy who complements the scheme.

I think Peterman is a moot point once the season is over. I don't think he is in the competition for next year. Dobbs is being redshirted...which indicates he is truly the #2 (#1?) guy on campus right now. With the other prospects coming in, the qb race is up for grabs between Dobbs and the incoming class...Peterman may have gotten a raw deal with the game situations he was placed in, but the writing on the wall suggests, to me, that he is not a serious contender for the job.

No-till requires a wholesale change in philosophy. It's about soil biology, not plant chemistry. Feed the microbes and the earthworms (with organic matter), and they feed the plants. Doing this doesn't just allow you to go no-till; it really doesn't work unless you do. The fungi that break down organic matter and feed your plants form extensive soil structures, and this growth-death-decomposition cycle is what frees up space for air and water to penetrate. Worms and other larger biota contribute to this as well. Over time, that activity makes the soil airy, fluffy, water-retentive yet well draining, fertile, and easy to dig. When you till, you destroy all that hard work these microcritters have done for you.
My garden gets a layer of compost on top at the end of the fall, then a sprinkling of soybean meal as the soil is waking up in the Spring, then no other amendments all year. Nothing through the growing season at all, and no petrochemical fertilizers at any time. I could probably plant my garden by hand (literally digging with my fingers-- no tools) the soil is so soft, and it's as black as night when I dig into it. I actually think the soil may be too fertile for tomatoes-- the plants get to 8 feet tall and collapse under their own weight by July.
We're Monsanto, and we did NOT approve this message.

Sorry Phil we were fighting all damn day on Saturday and just came up short and part of that is the "process" that Butch keeps talking about....you learn from your losses and this team is learning. You can see it on the field and in the players playing through each and every snap. If that had been the Dooley years we would have lost 45-10. Worley would have thrown a couple of picks and the defense would have been wasted by the second quarter. This is a team that will grow and grow and grow and "coming up short" as you phrase it is totally wrong. We just did not win the game. Yeah you can spout "moral victory" at my comments but that aint what I am talking about. I am talking about the "brick by brick" foundation that was in place when Fulmer was here and was totally destroyed by Lame Piffin and his band of "USC IS THE BEST" bunch of coaches. Butch is by far a better coach than ole butthead Kiffin and he will prove it in the long run.
I am encouraged by what Butch is building here and he gets it and he is obviously "proud ot be the coach of Tennesee" as anyone can truly see. He has a vision it is time to get off the fence and BUY IN! We will break through just as we did last year with USC and UT is going to be back on top. It is just a matter of time so lets get behind the team and MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!!

My passion for the NFL has never come close to my passion for the Vols and college football in general. That being said, as a lifelong resident (except for my time at UT) of the Atlanta area, l like to see the Falcons do well, but my following of Peyton even trumps that. So my favorite teams are:
1a. Denver 1b. Atlanta 2. Whoever's playing the Cowboys.
Similar to me, but my #2 is whoever is playing the Patriots.

I've narrowed it down to the Broncos in the AFC and the Falcons in the NFC. I have tried on a couple occassions to force myself to be a Titans fan, but it never stuck. To be honest, I just can't imagine not pulling for Manning. That may make me a bandwaggoner; so be it. When Manning retires, I may re-evaluate, but by then I might be too familiar with the team as a whole to change.
I'm still not a die-hard fan of anyone, but I miss having some level of passion for NFL football.

How come the Saint's didn't make your list? I like Drew. Not as much as Peyton, but he's okay.
I had to go with Atlanta...N.O. is my second in that division.

AFC East: Miami Dolphins- Unless your name is Sonny Crockett, no one with a Y chromosome should wear this color combo. They did spank the Pats today, though. So bonus points for that.
AFC North: Cleveland Browns- You really want to pull for a team with Johnny Manzeil?
AFC South: Tennessee Titans- I pull for them, but they play one boring brand of football, and have for a long time now. If they weren't "local", I'd have no attraction to them whatsoever. And their uniforms are butt-ugly.
AFC West: Denver Broncos- Shoulda kept Tebow. Peyton has a big forehead, and he never beat UF. Elway is a horseface.
NFC East: Dallas Cowboys- Your season ticket purchase comes with free Yankees, Cavs, and bammer hats. So there's that.
NFC North: Minnesota Vikings- Honestly didn't realize they even still had a team.
NFC South: Atlanta Falcons- The shining beacon of all that is good and right about professional sports. Your clear choice.
NFC West: St. Louis Rams- See Minnesota Vikings.
True...I can't pull for a team with an 80's bathroom color scheme. Miami is out.

I've not had a real favorite team since the Cowboys as a kid. So, I've picked a team out of each division. I'm going to try to narrow it on down to an overall favorite without basing it on just whether or not I think they'll have immediate success. I'd rather pick a team for the long haul based on important stuff like how I look in their swag.
Here's who I have at this point:
AFC East: Miami Dolphins AFC North: Cleveland Browns AFC South: Tennessee Titans AFC West: Denver Broncos
NFC East: Dallas Cowboys NFC North: Minnesota Vikings NFC South: Atlanta Falcons NFC West: St. Louis Rams

I'm not sure where it's located, but I heard Kiffiin added wax figures of Reggie Bush and an unnamed hostess. Dooley had a wax figure of Rommel added next to a bamboo shoot that never grew.
