Getting whipped at right tackle. We can't run to that side now either.
Cooper out, Cade out, and we were thin on the OL when the season started.
Not having Evans in the backfield is also a big setback, imo.
Add to that, Corral is killing us with his legs.
Lets GO VOLS!!!!

I'm not in the anti-Kiffin camp. Hopefully we all learn and grow.
However, since we dropped the Pitt game we need this win for practical reasons. I don't love our chances given Corral's (sp?) ability to improvise, but I think we'll fight hard.
I agree with you about Kiffin. I also worry about Corral and their offense. I'm cautiously optimistic, but will be satisfied with improvement and maximum effort regardless of the final score.

Georgia will handle them this year.
What sucks for Tamu is their loss to MSU on their own home field. Otherwise they would have a great shot at Atlanta.
I don't get all the uga hate. Well, I do, but it's uga over bammer for me, all day, every day.
We have to overtake UGA for the SECE before we can attempt to take the SECC from Bama. Bama dominance under Saban is firmly established while UGA, well on their way I admit, isn’t quite to that level yet. They need losses to benefit our program. For me, it’s simple. Although I completely despise Bama, UGA losing is more beneficial to the UT program at this point imo.

They Pruitt offense would have needed 2-3 MORE games to get to what this offense has done in 6 BTW, they have scored >100 against the last two SEC schools they faced (that they also played last year)
I’m not disputing any of that. The offense under Pruitt was “offensive”. It may very well have taken more than 2 or 3 games last year to get to where we are this year. I’m very pleased with the new staff and the progress and improvement that I’ve seen so far. I’m becoming more optimistic by week that CJH might be the guy that turns this thing around - after promising myself I wouldn’t fall into that trap again. Ten SEC football games is hardly comparable to TTU, Bowling Green, and Pitt in the schedule though (along with the worst looking performance by an SEC defense that I’ve maybe ever seen in our game against Mizzou).

I just can’t pull for the Gators to ever win, but I wouldn’t have been upset if they had defeated UK.
My thinking is this: we aren’t gonna be on a recruiting level with UF any time soon, but we don’t need UK being a top 15 team and possibly being in a better position to pull some players that we might need.
I’m not an “SEC! SEC!” guy. If it benefits the Vols I’m for it. If it doesn’t, I can’t get behind it. The only time that I pull for other schools in the SEC to win is when it benefits our Vols and I’m not sure that tonight’s UK win was the best thing for our program. Hopefully it doesn’t matter one way or another and I’m just way overthinking it.

Bailey is definitely not going to play for CJH, it seems. He will be gone soon, I think.
I don’t know what it was, but there’s likely a reason that UGA and other top programs weren’t high on him out of HS.

Hooker much better than JG IMO. Milton not so much.
This is probably where I’m at on Milton, too. Ineffective passing game with him and I’m not impressed with his running ability.

The Calloway drop was the game killer. If we make that first down, maybe we score and maybe we don’t - but it was a potential 14 point swing. Any possibility of winning was over at that point.
Get a TD there and, though we still likely lose, it’s a completely different game. I think that depth would have doomed us in the end anyway, but there would have been at least a chance.
Hopefully we didn’t lose too many to injuries tonight.

That Calloway drop was a 14 point swing.
The plays are there on offense, it seems. Just have to execute better.

This team competes, plays hard.
I’m concerned the amount of time that the D has spent on the field. I hope that doesn’t hurt us late in the game.

Do we really wanna run a hurry up offense against any of these three teams? I don't see that as sound strategy.
I don’t know whether you and I want them to go fast paced, but I’m fairly certain that CJH is completely dedicated to that offense.

Effective halftime adjustments were nonexistent with last year’s staff, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
I read speculation last season that Pruitt could scheme the first half D in the week prior to the game, which allowed the team to compete in the first half. After the half, when teams made major adjustments, our lack of quality coaching at the different position groups made it virtually impossible for the staff to counter the adjustments. I have no idea if there’s any accuracy to that, but it seems reasonable and would explain our exceptionally poor second half performances.
I’m just glad that he’s gone.
