Does anyone really have any confidence we won't make a bad hire?

I would like to hit a homerun but the way events have unfolded for us in the past few years I expect a bad hire.

My outlook on this hire was bleak until names like Shannon and Steele surfaced.  Then I became excited about the fact that Hart seems to be willing to open up the checkbook and not shop for coaches in the bargain bin.  "Big name" hire doesn't guarantee success but I think psychologically it is a shot in the arm.
