Lemme say this about the "T." My guess is some guys are proud they've never stepped on the "T," but have given less than their best effort in a game or practice.

Were I coach I'd remove the stupid thing under the pretense of remodeling or whatever. Yes attention to detail matters, but making standards out of arbitrary things is always counterproductive in the long run.

This concludes today's old man speech.

I have zero issues with the T and associated rules
They have been in existence a LONG time
Why is it just now becoming an "issue"
Like a LOT of things in life, it is a right of passage

I learned the expensive way (within a hour of arrival at Kef) that one does not enter aa Navy bar covered, you just don't
As an aside, that is the real reson for the bell in the recreation of the North Island bar in TG Maverick

Super Bowl Sunday at the NCO Club at NAS Pensacola.... The place is packed...A guy comes in covered goes up to the bar and a bartender pointed at a sign behind the bar that read.....You Are Welcome Here But If You Enter Covered You Owe The Bar  a Round Of Cheer....I thought the poor guy was going to cry!!

Rules are rules....One of the first things you learn i n the Navy is never wear your cover under a roof.
