Troy and Jacksonville State are like the old Southern Mississippi teams......Take the state schools rejects/outcasts/misfits and beat your ass with them. Troy would beat UMass by 20 plus.

C&P from TOS
Barnett & Malone gone to the NFL.
Jalen Hurd, Michael Sawyers, Derrell Scott, DeWayne Hendrix, Joe Henderson, D'Andre Payne, Daniel Helm, Vic Wharton, Charles Mosley, Treyvon Paula, Neiko Cramer, Gavin Bryant all left.
Chris Wetherd, Owen Williams, Von Pearson & Dontavious Blair all done with eligibility.
Evan Berry, TKjr. & Cortez McDowell out with injury.
Dillon Bates, Elliott Berry, Jakob Johnson & Coleman Thomas are backup talent at best.
Of 31 original signees, only Eman Moseley, Rashaun Gaulden, Ethan Wolf, Jashon Robertson and Aaron Medley are currently contributing.
That folks is an unmitigated disaster.

That money would be lost in ticket and concession sales anyway if we go lame duck for the rest of the season.
That's what a lot of UT fans don't understand.

The defense played good enough the first half to keep us in the game.....The offense hung them out to dry. The 2nd half they wore down and looked like they started to quit.

As far as I am concerned, there are no "best" years, no "good" years, not even acceptable years when your results have Vanderbilt and "L" on the same line. Tired of rhetoric, tired of excuses, tired of blatant self platitudes, tired of constant spin, very, very tired of clichés. So tired that I am close to losing interest. Never in my life could I have imagined that.
Seems more and more have come to this^same opinion.

The US Attorneys conducting this investigation announced to all parties (especially coaches) that now is the time to call their office to discuss it before the US calls them. You go git a couple of important people, let everyone know you are serious, and give people the opportunity to rat out everyone else to reduce your potential penalty.
This is really going to put the NCAA on the spot because they have done everything to cover up and protect the big schools because of the money that big-time basketball brings in each year. Everyone knows the current AAU money train funded by Adidas and Nike primarily and agents are guiding kids to schools for 6 figure bribes. This has been common knowledge for years, but NCAA turned a blind eye because "Well, we have no authority to investigate. Wink! Wink!". Now fraud is charged and people will go on trail. You can bet plenty of small fish are going to be telling their stories to try to reduce their liabilities. I hope the AAU programs are eliminated and all big time sports contracts with the equipment companies stop. If a sports company wants to sponser a kid, let them. Just tell the kid he cannot play in college. Will that hurt the college game, Sure. But how much has the one-and-done John Calipari model helped the game?

I realize that, and I'm fine with UT taking a hit as long as some others do too (and I think we all know who I'm talking about). We don't have as far to fall as they do, and college sports needs a complete reboot anyway. Agree with this......This is something that should have been done years ago....Need to burn down what needs to be burned down. I am quite certain there are several universities....athletic departments....and coaching staffs across the country sweating bullets today and looking over their shoulders....More will come of this I'm sure it's just the surface right now. But....if nothing else athletic departments across the land now know that Big Brother is watching.

And they are doing quite well. Whatever else he did, it was obviously better than listen to a bunch of whiny ass titty babies in a year we literally set a record for points scored. That and he probably wanted to get the hell out of Dodge because Dobbs was gone.
And they scored 21 first half points on OSU, 34 on Virginia in a win, and just Saturday 52 on Georgia Southern. So far a team that averaged 26 last year is averaging 35.
I'd take Debord back in a heartbeat....
I had a long sit down talk with Debord last December....He's from Indiana and his family was there and he wanted to get back closer to his family. He didn't know at the time the Indy OC job would become open after the first of the year. It happened and he was offered and he took it. Best of both worlds for him.
