It has to do with post count and admittedly everyone's post count doesn't reflect their numbers from the old board.

Hasn't Memorial always been a chamber of horrors for us?  Except last year.

...the Oscar nominations came out today, and I haven't seen a single nominated film.  Not one.  Not even in the minor categories.

Don't you mostly go to superhero movies and stuff?  Those kind of movies almost never win.

I love it. We may lose this game but I am back on the County bandwagon!  Have been ever since we beat the Crocs

LOL, when he was DC here last time, most (maybe not most but many?) wanted him fired every year.
182  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Good grief, where all y'all coming up with this 9 win goal? on: January 05, 2012, 10:00:31 EST
Looking at this schedule, I would say that there is a better chance of Mariah Carey sitting on my face than of the Vol team I saw playing this year winning 9 games against this slate.     What are the games that you concede that the Vols might lose and still be on the right track?  I'm guessing at GA, Bamar and at SC?  There are a lot of tossup games in that scenario and we would have to win ALL of them (at Miss St, NC St in Atlanta, Mizzou and FL at home).  I'm gonna say

Well, that's just fantastic! She probably had some clotting issues after the first surgery, but now she's gonna be feeling great real soon. Keep her coughing to make sure the chest stays clear (PAINFUL after having your chest cracked open) and get up and start walking as soon as they allow. The more time in bed, the weaker the patient becomes; just don't over do it!

I wish I had made time to observe an open-heart when I worked in cardiac rehab, but I never could wipe a full day off my calander to do so. While I have observed multiple autopsies, I never observed a live human opened up and that would have been truly interesting to watch.

The key is to make sure you don't drop a Junior Mint into the surgical hole.
184  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: I was driving through Knoxville last Friday on: January 05, 2012, 09:47:04 EST
The station is probably operated by the Clinton PD to distract you from their dozens of speed traps as you drive through town.

Seriously, I hate that place.  Trying to drive across that town without getting pulled over is like navigating a minefield.  I got a ticket there a few years ago because one of the two lights that illuminate my license plate was out.

When I lived in Powell I used to go up there all the time.  I had a summer temp job at a plant up there.  I guess the Clinton PD hadn't latched onto this surefire money making scheme yet (this was probably the late 70s).
185  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: I was driving through Knoxville last Friday on: January 05, 2012, 09:20:19 EST
It isn't new.  Been around for years.  WDVX Blue Plate Special.  I listen to it some, lot of bluegrass.

Yeah, I heard the Blue Plate Special Friday-the Barstool Romeos were playing
186  Sports / VTTW Message Board / I was driving through Knoxville last Friday on: January 05, 2012, 08:14:03 EST
and I ran across an outstanding new radio station in the area.  It appears to be out of Clinton and is WDVX.  If you like Americana, Roots Rocks and Alternative Country type music, as well as stuff like John Prine and John Hartford, give it a listen  www.wdvx.com

Either that or he is outfitted by the most irresponsible haberdasher on the planet.  At the Chattanooga-Tennessee game, he looked like David Byrne in the movie Stop Making Sense.
188  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Braves jettison some dead weight... on: November 01, 2011, 02:24:48 EDT
Even though they only got a minor league pitcher who will probably never see the show for him, and even though they have to pay most of his salary next year, dealing Derek Lowe is nothing but win.  Down the stretch last year, he was pretty much a guaranteed loss.  And this makes some room to move one of our many young arms into the rotation.

They also declined their club option on Nate McClouth.  Anyone have a problem with that?  Didn't think so.

Addition by subtraction.  Fans seem to want to get rid of Jurrjens too and I can't say that I blame them.

UT/MTSU. Will switch to LSU/Bama every now and then.

watch Bamar/LSU and hope for a meteor.  DVR MTSU-UT to watch later.
190  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: The team is practicing in the stadium with loud Bammer music on: October 21, 2011, 08:25:11 EDT
I can actually *feel* the music in my office. Of course all teams do this to try to get ready for the noise, but I'm laughing because the people that work around me are PISSED. Another conflict between athletics and academics.

Deere lowered!  I hate that you have to listen to a Hank Williams Jr concert!
191  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Than goodness I wasn't there to see this CRAP live on: October 13, 2011, 03:07:46 EDT
So now our band suxes too?  LOL!

Hey, it has to get better....it can't get any worse.

Band geek smack I love it!  I think the band director's been watching too much Glee.
192  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Dooley "Squarely On Hot Seat", according to Clay on: October 13, 2011, 03:03:50 EDT

Yes UGa and UF are down... We still aren't as talented as they are. Shame on anybody for letting this article start any such talk. Clay is trying to get Barbara Dooley mad so she will come on his show. BD = ratings.

This is why I hate Clay Travis.

Wow, a stir the shizzle story by Clay Travis and many are going into Def Con 1.  I thought we should have won that game.  I'm very disappointed.  We'll see if GA is as mediocre as I thought they were.  Either way, I'll remain disappointed, even if it was my overly inflated expectations.  But I'm not ready to throw Dooley under the bus yet.  Our program, much like Rome, is not gonna be rebuilt in a day.
193  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: LSU should win on sat...but... on: October 13, 2011, 02:45:17 EDT
Or we get pounded into the ground...35-0 but I like to think positive...

I think we'll get pounded but I thought that we would get pounded by them last year and we won the game.  I swear, we won the game!  I saw Dooley being carried off the field so I went outside to smoke.  At any rate, our competitiveness amazed me and I hope to be amazed again Saturday.
194  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: If we win the toss, take the ball or not? on: October 13, 2011, 02:43:15 EDT
Take it.

Yep, I say don't run scared.  Get the opening KO and run the ball (that oughta shock them).  OK, seriously, Simms needs to shake off the rust and the sooner the better.
195  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Dooley "Squarely On Hot Seat", according to Clay on: October 10, 2011, 06:22:03 EDT
Come on guys!!  Everyone here...and I think EVERYONE...said it was a MINIMUM of 3 years for Dooley to begin to be really competative....and it will be.   Probably 4 to be competing for the East.   Really now...hot seat??? I think not...not yet.  In 2 year, if he's not competitive, then yes...he'll be on the hot seat.  But everything his Momma said -- even if she was his Momma....was absolutely true.  Clay is an idiot!

Clay is a Finebaum wannabe
196  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Where are all the dawgs this year?... on: October 06, 2011, 09:30:34 EDT
As a resident of Chattanooga TN, who likes opening up a keg of whoop ASS on the WATER BANDITS....................................I'd say that was spoken like a true Georgia fan

If UgaLY loses this game, all the Dawg "fans" in Chattanooga will take the power G off of their trucks and put the stinkin red elephant back on.  I've never seen such bandwagon jumpers and Vol haters.  Idiots like Stump Martin
197  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: The Braves are about to hand the Wildcard to the Cardinals on: September 28, 2011, 06:52:46 EDT
They lost 4-0 to the Nationals and have Three games coming up against the Phillies. If the Braves aren't in the Playoffs,I'm rooting for the Yankees

Deere Lowered, man, get a grip!  I would root for any team in baseball over the Yankers.
198  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Rumor - Bryce Brown coming back to UT on: September 27, 2011, 09:26:00 EDT
a couple of posters on VQ are posting it. Not sure of credibility, but there appears to be a little smoke.

Would Dooley have him back?

Do. Not. Want.

200  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: The "Good" plays comment... on: September 26, 2011, 06:32:44 EDT
One thing I agree with is that Fulmer rarely took responsibility for what went wrong.  Whether he meant to or not, his post-game comments often sounded like rationalizations or excuses.  Sometimes he even seemed to throw players under the bus.  That was definitely one of his weaknesses.  And that type of behavior is not leadership, IMO.  Now I will say that Fulmer also said they would...what was it?  Work like...madmen?  Work like beavers?  Work like there's not tomorrow?  It seems like he had a saying about that.

"We working like heck to fix the problem."  If Fulmer had $1.00 for every time he said that, he'd be richer than T. Boone Pickens.
