Richt....Strong....Butch Davis....Jimbo all good recruiters coaching in the state now. Will make it harder for UF to cherry pick the state like they did for years. Of course it will make it harder for other schools like us to recruit the state too.

I certainly hope that UT has more to offer those Florida recruits than does USF, UCF, FAU, or FIU.  If not, then we need to reassess who is leading the program and recruiting those areas of Florida right now.

In reality, Miam, UF, and F$U should be the competition in that state, and not the mid majors.

I agree somewhat.....But USF...and some others will get their share of Florida talent too.....They usually have some quality athletes and like I said....some pretty good coaches in the state now too.

But USF and UCF are still mid-majors.  UT should not lose players they really want to mid-majors.  Ever.

And neither should UGA....USCe....Auburn....OSU...and about 15 other P5 schools that recruit that state.

What the mid majors will do is occasionally take a kid that is worried about playing time that could go to one of the bigger schools.   Also, they will absorb a lot of the 3 stars that might suddenly do better if they go to another school.   Finally, they may be willing to take a kid with suspect academics who doesn't want to go the JUCO route for Florida.  So it does make it tougher.

Don't disagree with that.
