I honestly expected to lose. I would've been happy with a 2 point win. But this?

Up until now I was trying to temper my excitement for this team, because they really hadn't been tested yet. I'm excited now.

It was a 20 point margin, and it wasn't even that close. We were milking clock for the last 10 minutes, otherwise we might've scored 90.

This is a good team. I just hope we get the season in and Covid doesn't ruin it. I truly want Barnes to win it all. I am critical of him because he has underachieved with talented teams before. He is a good coach that has done things the right way. A National title would just be icing on the cake for his career. Until he wins a NC, he will remain a good coach and not a great one. It is hard to win a title. Once March madness starts, it's anyone's guess to who wins. It takes a lot of luck to win one. I am rooting for Barnes. Covid will be a determining factor. It has already cost us a game with Gonzaga. They are tough.

Someone on Twitter asked a good question: Are the “Volcat” fans now “Catvols”?

This team is really good. However, I'm not sure the main proof of that is anything involving a Cuonzo coached squad.

Say what you want about Cuonzo (I personally like him, just don't think he was a great fit in Knoxville). But Mizzou owns the two best OOC wins in the SEC so far. They beat down a ranked Oregon team in Eugene, and beat an Illinois squad that blew out Duke in Cameron. They're pretty darn good. And last night, they never even threatened us.
