Olson is a big hitter and he's only 27, but this is more than a little sad.

Yeah, it sucks. Olson is probably better than Freddie on paper, and he’ll cost less ( at least for the next two years), hopefully allowing them to add some more pieces. But they had to give up A LOT to get him, and in two years they’ll be right back where they are now.

I just hope Freddie doesn’t go to the Dodgers, but that’s probably the most likely scenario now.

Well, they just extended Olson through 2029 at an average $21M per year. That’s probably a bargain (they were supposedly offering Freddie $30M or more). Good to know we won’t  have that to worry about anytime soon.

I hate to see it, but Freddie deserves a monster payday.  I am so glad we were able to win a WS with him on the team.
