I read somewhere the other day that two different evaluation publications had him outside of the top 10 in QBs (I think he was listed about 14th, but I'm not sure that I'm remembering that correctly). Given that ranking, he would almost surely not be drafted this year.
If he can continue to develop and improve under CJH, his draft status for next season could possibly improve markedly.
At one point earlier this season Mel Kiper had him in his top ten. I believe he was 8th.
Of course, I long ago quit giving Kiper much cred, so this is FWIW.
I think it's obvious that Hooker can greatly improve his stock this coming year. Also think, just based on my read of him, that he is the type that will enjoy another year of college like Peyton. You can tell he really loves the game and just loves playing.
And you never know what he might be getting for NIL, though my impression is that overall the Vols are lagging in that department.
