It's a sport, and it requires quickness, hand eye coordination, and a lot of practice to be really good. It doesn't require one to be a great athlete, for sure, but there's no requirement in the Olympics for sports to require that. Hell, Golf is going to be an Olympic sport in Rio, and it doesn't require awesome athleticism either.

We can agree on that!

Badminton and Ping pong are pretty huge sports in Asia and parts of Europe. That's a hefty amount of people who like the sport. We may not think of them much more than as recreational sports, but you might want to look at how people around the world view different things.

As far as diving, hell, let's beat them. We used to be pretty good at it. Remember Greg Loughanis?

I lived in Asia for two years, out on the economy. I am quite familiar with how they view things, and I still don't think ping pong (although an impressive skill) qualifies as athletics.

Don't forget the 235 badminton and the 450 ping-pong! Yet, baseball and softball are NOT included!

If you can get your nose into the wine you have either too much wine or too much nose.

But if you snort some wine, let me know how it was. Might be something new there.

Would that make you a "winehead"? Talk about "feeding your Jones"!

The first time I posted on a UT message board was during the 1996 season. It was the old UTVols.com board. I was 21 years old.

Today I was put in charge of the "Where's Waldo" classmate search in preparation for my TWENTIETH high school reunion, which will occur next spring / summer.

And there you go.

Wait'll your 50th!!!!!. then we can talk about feeling old!

If you like a great 3-4 day vacation you should check out the Islands south of Savannah, GA,  there are several right there and have some incredible places to stay plus great seafood as well as brunswick stew....yummmmmm

Ideas for Number 2 should include going out to Napa Valley for a couple of days then travel down the coast to SF and spend a couple of days and tehn on to Monterey Bay for a coupe more days.  I love Northern California area around SF

If you do the Monterey thing, also be sure to visit the town of Carmel (beautiful mission) and 17 Mile Drive around the Pebble Beach area. If you decide to do the Georgia coast, come on down to St. Augustine and I'll give you a free tour!
