He looks like such a genius coach and recruiter for a year or two until knowledgeable basketball fans get a look at what a numskull coach he really is. So Cal may get to experience cut-and-run Cuonzo at his best (or worst).

Cuonzo is a decent man, bad coach, and a quitter when the going gets tough. And for the record, Bruce is a liar that got caught and should never be allowed to coach at UT ever again. In fairness, he doesn't seem to be getting run oft at Cal by unhappy fans, and Georgia Tech is a fairly high visibility program with a decent tradition and they are in the ACC. Doesn't look to me like his career is exactly circling the drain. He remains what I always thought he was...an average to slightly above average coach whose recruiting is a bit questionable. Also inconsistent. |
