I saw the tail end of it...just the calendar part. I set my DVR to catch a rerun, becasue the guide said the first part was about Guirdano Bruno, who is a fascinating character. He was one of the first to publically speculate about the possibility of life on other planets, and in the same generation as the discovery of the telescope. For which the church burned him at the stake, although they now claim it was because he dabbled in sorcery. Which he did...you can find some of his writings on that on the interwebz. A very interesting guy.
Let me add that dabbling in sorcery is also no justification for being burned at the stake, lol.
How anyone who is a follower of Jesus...grrrrr, don't get me started.
