Title: Need some input....Dean and I are taking a long weekend in Charleston SC Post by: RockinGrannyVol on September 19, 2014, 04:59:59 EDT in October -- who can recommend good places to eat -- seafood in particular! Thanks!
I was there on business one time many years ago and had the best sea bass I've ever eaten!! But no clue where it was or if it would still exist. I just know it was a small place in the historic district. Thanks! Magnolia's right downtown is goodFor something different, a place that is somewhere between a biker bar and a dive that was on DDD try Tattooed Moose. The Duck sandwich is fantastic. It shouldn't hard to find because the name is also the address (between Meeting and King streets). I would also try Magnolia's on East Bay, and if you like shrimp and grits go to Jestine's on Meeting Street, about across the street from the fire hall. I also enjoy lunch at Hyman's on Meeting. Enjoy yourselves and eat too much! I went based these good folks' advice here on VTTW back when we took my parents to Charleston and it certainly lived up to the hype!
Also, Hominy Grill is good too! Have a great trip, that trip we made with my parents is one I'll never forget and hope we can do it again someday soon.
