His name is, Lyle Allen "Butch" Jones, Jr. Just in case you were wondering. Sometimes I wonder how people get their nicknames, I guess maybe he got "Butch" from the haircut that he and I used to have when were young?

Well, he's a Jr., and they often end up with nicknames early in life to differentiate them from their dads.  That's why my wife calls my son "T" rather than Tony (IV and III in our line).    The only Butch I knew as a kid was our neighbor's boxer.

That's interesting, didn't think about it but wouldn't be surprised if that was it. Ya know, I don't think I've ever known anybody personally who went by, "Butch".

I know two. One turned out to be a General Sessions Judge, the other is one of his regular customers.

I knew a guy in grade school and high school who we called Butch.

We called him that because that was his name.
