This isn't a bashing thread, but merely a list of possibilities and their attributes. Please note I don't think a change will be made this year, and hopefully one won't be needed in 2017.

Inclusion of a name doesn't indicate support.

Strong - Good record pre-Texas, but was supposedly dealing with personal issues in Austin

Brian Kelley - Are ND standards the sole reason things didn't work out recently?

Briles - Brilliant mind, but legal red flags.

Kiffin - Great offensive mind, but also offensive

Patterson - Iffy last couple of seasons, but lengthy success prior to that

Petrino - Took Arkansas to their first top five finish since '79

Chip Kelly - Is he tired of the NFL?

Les Miles - ???

David Shaw - Stanford guy will probably go to the NFL if he leaves

Fuente would be my first stop. A guy who wins and beats teams with more talent. Knows who to hire. V Tech can't come close to paying what we can.

I agree. If I were making a hire right now, Fuente would be at the top of my wish list. Throw a bucket of money at him and make him say no.

My top 4 would include Willie Taggert.

Another guy who should have been included is Mike Leach. Again,  I'm not saying these are preferences, but merely coaches with a history of some degree of success who should be pondered, however briefly.
