You never did.

I still say he's the number one target based off of everything I've seen. We'll see if this game changes that.

Again, I'm underwhelmed by Shannon as well and think Tennessee fans are overrating him, maybe in the same way I've overrated Steele.

And... I didn't realize before checking out the stats because I haven't been watching the game... Clemson's D is not playing well but their offense gave up a 99 yard TD return on a fumble plus turned it over twice deep in their own territory.

Hell I'm wondering if Steele already told the players he was leaving.

Do we know for sure Steele is even at the Orange Bowl tonight?  Sheesh.

This performance can't be ignored if we were actually targeting him as I believe. I really wanted him more than anything because he is a UT grad and UT guy. But ... good lord, this is ridiculous... on that last drive it looked like the players have mailed it in.

will be a PR nightmare if CDD introduces Steele after this debacle.

I was going to say the same thing. It's obvious that Steele is distracted tonight. So...he's coming to UT.

At this rate, Clemson might drive him over and just leave him on Dooley's doorstep for free.  Wow, what a dud showing if this is truly the way UT is going.

One more thing, I think Monte got drilled in the NFL his last game before coming to Knoxville. Yep, Steele is UT bound.  I am a beliver now.

I have absolute confidence that we will make the worst hire possible. It just fits with the express train to ruin we have been on.

I think it is a moot point, because I don't see either one coming here. If anything, the chances of getting Steele might have increased, he might be looking for a job today.

The tiglet fans at the course today were laughing at me because they heard UT was considering him. They are a little bit pissed. And humiliated. Which, of course, I don't mind at all.
