He did drill a couple from 54'but he was a bit inconsistent

Worst in-game kicker at UT I can ever remember. Just can't get it done.

Maybe.  But Palardy was no better for his first three seasons.  Then he was money in his senior year.  It's never too late for that lightbulb to come on.

He's solid inside 45. Not much good outside of it.

For his career, including tonight's miss, he is 7/23 on field goals of 40+ yards. That's 30%.

Early in his career he couldn't   hit beyond 40, but the last year or so he's been doing much better inside 45.  He has rarely hit beyond 45.
