Author Topic: We need to win that first SECT game, for sure  (Read 1749 times)

There's a lot of talk about us being already in, but if we lose the first game, particularly if it's ugly, the committee's going to do a double take.   In fact, I am not 100% sold on us being in anyway.  We have been screwed plenty of times and all season the speculation has been 4 SEC teams and we are 5th (though I know that's far from all the committee will consider, which is in our favor).

Anyway, we need to at least win that first game decisively to be a favorite to make the tourney, IMO.

I am hoping we at least make the semifinals (that is, win our first two), but we sure as heck can't afford to lose that first game regardless.

The opponent in that first game will be so bad that we'll probably gain nothing by winning  (but a loss would be disastrous).  We wouldn't begin to enhance our resume until we beat bammer in the second game.
