Vandy with Covid issues.

We have Vandy again this Sat. so I'd say that game is at risk too.

I wonder if Dabo will complain that every basketball team didn't play the same number of games?

Season is going to suck, but better than none at all I guess.

By tourney time, maybe the players get vaccines?

Not in bammer though!  It was announced recently that it was open to those over 75, of which there are about 350,000.  So the State Dept of Health provided...wait for it.  A SINGLE PHONE NUMBER TO CALL for scheduling.

Surprisingly, they got 338000 calls the first few hours of the first day and no one could get through.  Wow!  Who could have seen that coming?

ONE PHONE NUMBER for 350,000 people!  Is Forrest Gump running the Dept of Health!?!

But their fizzleing football team is good.  I reckon that's all that matters!

Good GAWDAMIGHTY.  Do they even have brains at all in the bammer Dept of Health????

Pretty much the same with the health department here....First doses went to healthcare workers....first responders etc.....The health department announced they would start doing folks 75 and older.....just call this number to setup a appointment. First day the phone system crashes and they stop taking appointments......Then the health department sets a drive thru vaccine at the local fairgrounds for last Thursday from 8am until 6pm...first come first served....People started lining up in their cars at midnight....by sunup the line was 2 miles long in both directions on the sides of the road.....It was a cluster.

Until they get the vaccine out to clinics etc like the flu shots then it will be a total cluster as long as government is involved.

Yes the state health departments seem to be totally bungling this. How hard can it be to set up a WEB PAGE for appointments?   The internet was, you know, DESIGNED to allow multiple people to have access to the same thing.  Server space might be an issue, but they might be able to get Amazon or someone to donate it.

Thinking about it, the medical profession is so lucrative and state salaries so low, that we have to assume the state health departments are not "the brightest and best" I guess.
