Well I'm all for that but from what I have seen with my own eyes and ears is that the ones that seem to use it the most are the very ones most offended by it,that is unless they call each other the "N" word,so I guess they will be "policed" as well or will police themselves? http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/nfl-expected-adopt-15-yard-penalty-n-word-article-1.1698783

As hurtful and as offensive as that word is, they're basically saying it's equally as wrong as grabbing a ball carrier's facemask.     So dumb.

After listening to Mike & Mike this morning, I had the following conclusions:  1)  This is not intended to keep white players from using the N word to black players.  This already causes a fight in the few instances where it is ever done.  Remember the NFL is 70% black.  2)  There probably isn't a problem with black players calling each other the N word.  Many think there should be "Why can a black person say n*gger and I can't?"  3) But according to what I heard, the problem is players, presumably black players, saying it to referees.  Not sure what profanities are flagged but this rule just adds racial epithets to the list.  It doesn't mention other slurs but I guess if officials start getting called f*ggots, that will be included.

Ah, to refs?  Guess that makes SOME more sense when it's put under the umbrella of profanities that would draw a flag.
