I took a quick walk and snapped some pictures. The Power T at the "50" (halfway down the road) appears to be complete. The checkerboard "endzones" (at the top and bottom of the hill) have the white coats done but are awaiting the orange. You can see from the photos that these areas are stamped asphalt, which I think should, in theory, make the paint last longer and be easier to touch up, in addition to standing out more.

The Power T:

The checkerboard:

I could hear The Pride playing as I was snapping pics, so I decided to walk over and check them out too. It seems that the first show will includes Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain. They were playing and working on drill for that one while I watched for a few minutes.

I'm impressed with your knowledge of music and being able to identify that piece. You receive bonus points.

And let me guess: that was followed by Pictures at an Exhibition and The Firebird Suite.  Cue Bill Williams (or just a recording of Bill Williams will do at this point), it's the (annual) Salute to Classical Music!  You didn't see anyone dressed as Dorothy and Toto, did you?

Couldn't tell you. They kept playing the same four measures over and over . . . damn trombones were dragging every time. That brought back memories.

I knew they had used Night on Bald Mountain before, since I have it on a Pride CD. I didn't realize they repeated that show so many times though. My impression, though I haven't been to that many games lately, is that The Pride has been going downhill pretty much since Julian retired.

Yep.  It's got Pirate so upset that he's editing other peoples' posts.

I don't even know what was changed- I just noticed the "edited by" tag at the bottom.

I actually read the other day that the Wizard of Oz show was conceived and written by the students.  At first, I found that hard to believe.  But then it dawned on me- this is the generation that thinks "Glee" is cool.
