I have a buddy who thinks Milton looked too casual against UF.  Like he didn't GAS.  He went to the sidelines and was joking around with the OL, per my buddy.

I don't necessarily have an issue with being light hearted...maybe that's just his leadership style and he is trying to get the OL or whoever to not be too tight.

Also my friend's observations are often FOS, FTR.

But...what does everyone think?  Does Milton come across as a "too casual" leader?  Does he lack intensity? Is he "too nice"?  Inquiring minds want to know!

I didn't see what is being described. I would think Milton has a strong interest in performing at a high level, as well as his team. "We" just never seem to get it done. No matter the coach. No matter the players.

This is interesting, but it's difficult to make a call without knowing the person. Some people are wired differently than I am, and while they're incomprehensible and wrong, I must accept that.

That having been said, sometimes a poor student does well when paired with a studious counterpart. If the latter is removed there is rapid reversion to the mean. Perhaps that occurred with Joe and Hendon. I do not know.

You saw him on the sidelines.  He looked anything but casual.
He does seem much calmer in the pocket this year, that is perhaps what your friend was referring to

During the game 3-4 times Milton went to the various position groups to build them up or to discuss things that didn't go right.
For example, when Milton overthrew an open Keeton they got together to discuss it (nothing other than two teammates working to correct what seemed to be a communication issue - like pilots they were using their hands to demonstrate, kinda cool actually)

Yeah, pretty sure my friend is FOS. I'll be happy to tell him that.

Sometimes I think he?s trying to hard to appear calm, relaxed, and collected.
