I haven't been in years but I intend to go this year. I expect a dismal showing, but hope we have a good turnout. I've gotten a good laugh at how Kentucky had four times as many people (50,000+) at its spring game as Vanderbilt had (14,000).

I've been suffering from back problems related to being stuffed in airplane seats for too long and Neyland's seats aren't a place of healing for such issues so I'm not sure if I'll go with him or wait and watch it Sunday. We're both optimistic over what's been printed regarding Butch so far.....it's been far too long since the Vol nation has had much to get excited about.

Nah.  Spring games are insanely boring even with a championship caliber roster, let alone a depleted one.  I'm more interested in what happens the following day, ie new commitments.

Ditto.  Too boring.  Plus, other things I'd rather be doing.

I'd say that the number of people going to The Vols Orange and White game won't be near what Kentucky had.

No, it won't be. I'm just hoping we can beat Vandy's number.

I'm not going to be able to go.  We've got a commitment in Greeneville (TN) on Saturday.

That said, I have a feeling that the crowd will be better than most think.  First of all, it's free.  Free is big.

Secondly, Jones has done a really good job of making he and his staff visible, and there is a "new" interest in the program.  They have invited a ton of prospects to the game.

I'm not looking for the 50K that UK had, but I would be surprised if it doesn't push the 35-40K mark.

Would love to go, but I will be taking care of my wife Saturday. She had major surgery Tuesday and cannot take care of herself. Love the Vols, but family comes first.

Hope you wife does ok!  You are a good hubby -- right where you should be!

I will be watching my beautiful granddaughter's softball team win a berth to the Nationals this weekend -- they have a great team this year and are really playing as a whole team.   So proud of them all.  My son is head coach and really does a great job with these young ladies!!  They are a 2nd year 14 and under team.
