It's surreal. And from an outsider's perspective, overkill. Certainly I understand the sense of urgency and committing the resources that they're throwing at this, but shutting down an entire city the size of Boston and demanding everyone stay home while a manhunt is carried out for one person? Just not sure about that...

It's more than one person apparently. At least theorized it may be a terrorist cell. These guys may have had some training in how to use these explosives and weapons that were used.

I just hope they somehow get him alive, although I find that highly unlikely.

One reporter stated she had talked with the father in Russia. He did not believe his sons did this and if they kill his youngest son "All hell will break loose". May just be the ranting of a distraught father or a real threat.

They know something or they wouldn't be taking these extreme precautions. It could be as simple as he is armed out the wazoo.

Maybe because one officer is already dead and he's got a suicide vest on?  Sheesh

I say tuff ^&**. If his only son is guilty then that's just too bad. And if Daddy comes over from Russia then at the first sign of trouble from him then arrest his butt and send him home to rot.

Sounds like the rotten apples didn't fall far from the tree.  Maybe his Chechen buddies can make him feel better by wiping out an(other) elementary school.
