Rule change about to get deep sixed

Saban almost rolled Calhoun, but he figured it out.   

I read elsewhere that the NCAA alternates on rule changes, and that in every even numbered year, only rule changes that directly impact safety are allowed.   Thus the attempt to make this a safety issue...apparently without a shred of evidence to back that up. 

Saban is so used to be being surrounded by butt lickers that he apparently thinks he can just make shizzle up and everyone will swallow it.  And if a reporter dares ask him about the rule change, the guy will be banned for life from Tuscaloosa...no shizzle, this really happens routinely.

But fizzle you saban, you lost this one.

They'll just kick the can down the road.  But I guarantee you it will be passed next year.

I saw a stat that last year, the 20 fastest teams in FBS actually had fewer injuries than the 20 slowest.  But nonetheless, Saban will find someone to trump up some bogus data, and he will get his way, as usual.  It's Saban's world, and we're just living in it.

You could be right, but I don't think so.  There are too many teams that use the hurry up.  Saban can't just run rough shod over all of them.  And most important, fans are overwhelmingly for the hurry up.   Saban is in a minority on this one. 

We will see what happens...I guess if someone makes up some data that shows it's unsafe they can get it passed, so the hurry up advocates better have their studies ready to fire back with.
