Now if I said that I would get dogged for it. People just don't handle the truth well. I regret saying that, and almost modified the comment. I actually believe Barnes can, and may well win the big one while at UT. I think the prevailing board opinion is that he won't based on track record so I was jesting along those lines. At any rate, it will be another stacked roster. Keep knocking on the door & good things happen!  |

People just don't handle the truth well. It's a heavy burden you bear, volsboy ... being tasked as a messenger of truth to rein in the blind legions who are so ignorant that they can't help being optimistic and looking on the positive side of things. Your job is to constantly remind us that our team sucks, life sucks, we all suck. Your back bears the scars of the floggings you've received for merely being an angel of truth in a land where truth is mocked and scorned. Someday, late in the 4th quarter as the game is slipping away, the people will suddenly pause in front of their 70 inch 8K ultra-defs, in Section NN, or in front of those tiny, grainy TVs at the beer concession kiosks, and mutter in unison, "My God, My God, volsboy was right and for that we scorned him and flogged him. What have we done to the chosen one?" It's going to be like a sports rapture, kinda. And you will be vindicated. Until then, keep the faith, volsboy. Continue to fight the good fight. You will earn your reward. You just be you, because the rest of us are too stupid to understand the truth. |

I couldn't have said it better. JK.... I am waiting for the one season I'm wrong. believe it or not. Especially about Barnes. It is hard to win any title even if you have talent and coaching. Vols just seem to lack one of the two in most sports. Hope Huepel can get the talent all over the field. He could give a title a good run. He's a good coach. |
