James Franklin connection there with AD Debbie Yow, who was at Maryland when Franklin was the "coaching in waiting".

Might be an option for Franklin to pull a Steve Miller Band and "oooooh, take the money and run."

It isnt gonna happen but the more I think about it the more I wouldn't mind seeing UT gun for Franklin.

Geez Louise, no.  I don't care what he did at Vandy.  I don't want an ass hat like Franklin or Petrino at UT.

He is an ass and I can't stand him. But given the choice between him
and Al Golden? Or, heaven forbid, someone like Dam Mullen?

Given that choice, I'd take Franklin.

I think Franklin will be the next Coach of NCSU. When Debbie Yow was the AD at Maryland,She made Franklin the Coach in waiting to Ralph Fridgen. When She left Maryland changed that

I'd take Mullen over Golden any day.  Mullen has at least taken a historically beat down program and has them in regular bowl contention.  Golden did the same at Temple, but in the Big East, and has been unable to get much over 500 at Miami in the ACC in what is one of the easiest, if not the easiest, to recruit states in the country.  Mullen at least has some success in the SEC.

With all the whining over Cheney's play calling I can't wait to hear the caterwauling if Mullen is named HC
