Died from cancer this morning.  I know he could be "over the top" at times, but I mostly liked him on Sportscenter.

Yep.  One of the few ESPN SC anchors who didn't act like they were God's gift to sports broadcasting.  He had his quirks, but overall he was a solid sports anchor.

I'm ashamed to admit I didn't know he was sick. I don't watch ESPN too much anymore. He seemed like one of the good guys. RIP
