Jones originally committed to Florida in June after an unofficial visit to Gainesville, but the recent firing of Will Muschamp and subsequent hiring of Jim McElwain caused Jones to decommit from Florida.

Three 4-star QBs in one class. One of them is going to be really good and take over when Dobbs is done, whenever that may be.

Also we're piling up the commitments again. That's 28 now, with a few more guys still on the board who we have a pretty good shot at. I have no idea how the numbers will work out.

Tennessee football is about to be fun again, ladies and gentlemen.

Is that too many QB's? Well, according to something I read about General Neyland's coaching tenure, we had 10 centers on the roster at one time.

So, I guess the answer to my question is no.

Yeah when single wing run 95% of the time is your philosophy, 10 centers might make sense.  Plus, no scholarship limitations.

These dual threat QBs are actually more like the single wing than the pro set though, but with much more throwing.

We could use a few of those centers right now, but they would likely only be big enough to play DB or WR, lol.

I've seen several suggestions that Jennings could change positions.

The two games I saw him play this year, he was a very good QB and an excellent DB.

It means we're going to have some pretty good competition for the starter's role in the coming years.  And next year's commit Austin Kendall is rated higher than any of them.  Of course, the chances of all of these guys completing their 4-5 years at UT are practically nil.

Yep, and this is why you have to constantly be recruiting quarterbacks. You need 4-5 on the roster and they frequently leave when they're beaten for the starting job.

Good to have have that kind if competition at the QB position.

Got to say I'm especially impressed by the recruiting at the defensive line position. Got to win in the trenches, and it definately looks like the Vols will be tough on defense for the next several years.
