70 total players participated, including 9 true freshman scholarship players and 8 walk-ons if my count is right.

* OL participation is interesting. None of the freshmen (Kendrick, Wiesman, Sanders) played, nor did Marcus Jackson. I think all of those except maybe Wiesman may end up redshirting if we can afford it.

* We played 12 DL  (2 freshmen and no walkons), 11 LB (1 freshman and 2 walkons), and 12 DB (3 freshmen and 3 walkons). Considering the number of bodies we played on defense I think we should be pretty pleased that only one run of over 10 yards and two passes of over 15 yards were given up. The shutout hinged on a short missed FG but we played an awful lot of bodies, so I'm fairly pleased with how they looked.

* I thought Summerhill looked like our #3 option at RB. Smith and Hill looked average at best, combining for 38 yards on 12 carries vs. Summerhill's 67 yards on 9 carries running behind the same backup OL. Of course we never know how Bajakian may have been calling plays situationally to see how guys performed, and it was against AP. It'll be interesting to see how much PT those guys get as the season progresses.

Code:
QB RB WR	TE OL DL LB DB Spec.
Worley Neal North Downs Richardson Miller Sapp Toney Palardy
Peterman Lane Harris Quinn Bullard Lewis Stocstill Coleman Carr
Summerhill Dallas Branisel Stone Williams Grieco Randolph Dummer
Hill Carter Ayres Fulton Walls Bynum McNeil
Smith Howard James Miller Johnson Sutton
Young Pair McCullers Reeves-Maybin Swafford
Johnson Crowder Couch Propst Juin
Blanc Kerbyson Carr Harris Arnold
Croom Posey Hood Brewer Moore
Bowles Simcox Clark Crump Foreman
Smith O'Brien King Orta
Saulsberry Johnson

at as many players as possible in game situations but I don't think we will have good idea as to what type of team we have until Sat....WKU will be a test, especially with Oregon looming next week. The stats, other than the no penalties, mean very little IMO due to the opponent and how far they were out of their class.

I take it Tino Thomas is a total bust. He is only a RS freshman, but you would think he could make the field this past Saturday with our depth issues. SMH.

Don't see Justin King on here either. Discouraging.

Not according to the official stats. Greg King did, but Justin King did not.

I don't have any clue who Tino Thomas and/or Justin King are.  So I guess I'm still happy.

Thomas is a safety, King is a LB. Both are buried in the depth charts.
