You have to make your moves in this business when you are one of the hot names. If you don't, your star fades.

I agree. Even maintaining the same level of success is moving backwards in this profession.

Exactly right.

EXACTLY!  Case in point is the Cal coach that just got fired.  His name was hot several years back but he decided to stay at Cal where the ceiling was limited.  How did that turn out for him??

Honestly, if Strong does stay at U of L, I just don't see why.  He has the opportunity to coach in the best conference in America compared to the Big East / ACC which both won't be around too much longer if the conference expansion keeps happening.

A friend just emailed this theory:

Gundy is the #1 target and has been told to let us know.  Meanwhile Strong is the #2 and really wanted the TN job, however we still haven't heard from Gundy.  Strong realizes he's the #2 and tells TN "screw you" and sticks with UofL.

Clay Travis has been tweeting that all morning.  Is he your friend?

LOL.  Just kidding, but your friend likely got the idea from Travis.

It's just been tweeted by a sideline reporter for OSU that Gundy has turned us down, so ball is in Strong's court (if true)

You have to consider the source....Clay sent like a dozen tweets with this theory and wouldn't shut up about it.  I think Strong is coming.

Clay is butt hurt by not getting Franklin, is all.
