Theoretically, we could still catch Auburn.  But they would have to lose all three remaining games and we would have to win out.  Highly unlikely.

But...they have tough back to back road games coming up at  Florida and Arkansas, and then close at home against Junior, which is a really hot team right now.  It's not inconceivable that they would go 0-3, but how about if they go 1-2 and we win out?  Then we are tied for the lead, and although they win the tiebreaker, that's good optics and likely will help us get a higher seed.

As for seeding, if we just go 2-1 down the stretch we are a lock for a top 4 bye in the SEC tourney.   So these last three games are important.  I will definitely be disappointed if we dont at least take 2/3.

One thing is for certain, no team in the country is unbeatable at all this year. The way I see it the Vols have about as good a chance as any if they can bring the A game each night. Just look at the Purdue and Arky games.  Night and day difference in the way they played each of those games.

I'm just hoping they hold on to the #1 spot.  Winning 2 of 3 down the stretch would be great!  Ole Miss is a must win.  C'mon Vols, let's rout 'em on their own court.

We need to maintain, at worse, a 3 seed

Should beat ol miss & Georgia. Not sure about msu. 12-6 would secure the bye. The year has been a success so far. Let's keep it going!

We just need to lock up that #2 seed in the SECT, and the two-round bye that comes with it.  If you look at the standings, we're 10-5, two games clear of a whole gaggle of teams at 8-7.  Some of which we hold the tiebreaker head to head, some hold the tiebreaker against us.  We go 2-1 in these last three, we're good.  Anything less, and we're asking for trouble depending on who emerges from that 8-7 group.  Most years those first two rounds are loaded with sacrificial lambs who are hoping for a miracle run to extend their season, but usually end up getting thumped by UK or UF in round three.  But this year the league is so deep it's inevitable that a really good team or two is going to be playing in round one.  We don't want to be one of those teams.  Don't drop the ball now.

JMO on our chances in the last 3 games based on how we've played the past 2 weeks.

Ole Miss 55-45% UT. We don't usually play well there and they will be out to make up for that beatdown we gave them.

Miss St. 60-40 Miss State

UGA 60-40 UT

Ole Miss is currently the worst team in the SEC, so I like our chances there even on the road.

But like I say above, their coach just quit and they upset Mizzou in their first game with the interim coach.

The dynamic of having a new coach makes the game less certain.  Why could he not have held on a couple more weeks.  Very inconsiderate of him!

Sounding like we may be without Walker and Alexander.  Not good.
