She may go home tomorrow via ambulance..not sure yet.  Still can't drink or eat, so she is not healing as quickly as they hoped it sounds like.  She answered the phone and we only talked a short time.  She said to tell everyone she loves you all!

Being at home should help speed her recovery.

Thanks Becky. I'm off today, so I'll call later to see if she made it home.

The latest is that Vanderbilt is sending her to a rehab facility as soon as they can find one that will accept patients with a wound vac, etc. They aren't real happy with her lung function, they feel she needs to work on that for a week or two. Still a lot of drainage from the surgery, they say it should heal up in another week or so. She said that she so appreciates the prayers on her behalf, and to please keep them coming. I know this........she has a will that is as strong as an ox. Any normal person would have been laid low months ago. But, our Barbi has never been normal and with God's help, she'll be watching the Vol's opening game while she sits in her own living room.

Thanks for the update Iris!   I was worried about them sending her home too soon.   Glad they are sending her where she can get more help.

Thanks for the up date Becky and Iris.  Let me know if she is any place between Kingston and Knoxville.  I'll see if she is allowed visitors.
