He would be a beast at TE!

 He would have been crazy to leave. Not an NFL lb IMO anyway. We could use him and he can get that much closer to, if not finish his degree......he is going to need it after college.

Things will have changed for us if.........we can shoot a reasonable % from 3 and around the basket. If we can't throw one in from behind the line and our bigs can't finish around the basket we are the same team we have had during the Cuonzo era.

I am not hopeful as of now.

Well, everyone we play in the SEC is "up" compared to us the last few years. We have become vandy and ky.   

His time out call before the half and subsequent call to go for it on 4th down let a team you had dominated take the lead at the half.     

If they win the next game, and then go on the road and beat LSU I will get closer to buying in.

I saw better ball movement tonight. Led to less thrown up prayers by Stokes and Maymon against bigger players. Our team should be playing more like Pearl's 1st couple teams. Fits their physical abilities better IMO.

They are shooting out of their minds.

Didnt know they were on until it was 1/2 time. Watch a few min of the 2nd half. Other things I had rather do than watch them play Morehead State. When they play someone good and play well I will be more interested.

Funny how some have changed their minds on this. I don't really care but he was treated unfairly by the admin and the ncaa, in light of recent rulings.

Part of me wants to hire him back just to flip off the ncaa and slive. Hart hired into a difficult job.

My point exactly. These guys do not fit what we are doing and thus have little impact. Every team that has more size than us shuts down both Stokes and Maymon. If those guys were 6'11" and 6'8" instead of 6'7" and 6'5" we would be a lot better.

That goes back to coaching and trying to run your philosophy regardless of the talent available.

Maymon and probably Stokes...plus Barton will graduate.

What "talent" are they losing outside of McRae?

I'm not convinced of this. He shouldn't last if he fails to make the tourney but I'm not 100% confident that UT will cut him loose.

If they don't, though, next year will be a disaster. The team will have far less talent and the fan apathy will be at Buzz levels if not worse.

This grind it out style on offense does not fit the offensive talent we have IMHO. Just don't have enough shooters or scorers regardless but at least they get some more lay ups or trash points at a faster pace.

Wonder who the next coach will be? You won't get a big name, so you are going to have to pick out a lower tier guy, just like with Martin. Or does he get another year or 2 due to budget issues?

37-20 at the half. Better players all over the court and more depth off the bench. Their freshmen are killing Stokes and Maymon.

This team isnt that talented. Outside of McRae we have no real scorer. I know Hubbs is thought to be that type of player and he may be in time but not as a freshman. Stokes has either peaked or does not really try to improve his game. Maymon is trying but he is rusty. Both guys play below the rim on offense and that kills us. f either could step out and hit a shot it would help but they cannot.  We don't have a true center so this team is just missing some parts to play the style we are and that is all Cuonzo knows apparently.

Stuff like this is what I like about Butch. You know he is working hard and has his people working hard when they can find and exploit a loophole in the recruiting game. We need every advantage we can get to catch up. 

I am guessing he may be a solid commitment.

Look, I know you hate this coaching staff and think they are terrible in every aspect and you've felt this way since day 1, even before that I'm sure. You are gonna have to cool it with all the harsh words all the time in every post you make. It's very unbecoming. Someone I know well would say it behooves you to stop being so mean to these guys that are just trying their hardest. Shame, shame, shame.
