Title: I'll admit I never really give Kiffin much thought these days
Post by: VinnieVOL on April 02, 2012, 07:54:52 EDT
But this tweet by Lane really sticks in my craw:

"Great seeing Eric Berry @Stuntman1429 at Saturday's scrimmage, hanging out with all the players. Fight On!"

Berry may feel more welcome at a USC practice than he would  here?

Rumor has it that EB is not happy with DD for DD's habit of throwing players under the bus.   Maybe DD can learn a little something from that and point the finger at himself from now on.

Just MO....

I love EB but that's really not his business at this point and if these Danny former players don't stop cozying up to kiffin I don't know what I will do.

Berry and Dooley met recently and smoothed things over.

The thing everyone has to remember is that Dooley never coached EB and Kiffin did. EB loved Kiffin. So who are we to worry about it? Tee is also there and the pic that was posted on Twitter was of EB, Art Evans, and Tee.

I think Vol fans read way too much into this kind of stuff. Half the players on half the football teams in America sport the colors of other teams when they go to class.

Agreed

Agreed

Regardless, no more pointing the finger at the players for Dooley.  I am so over that.  Hope he is too.

I think that is about as overblown as some other things connected with the program recently

Title: When it comes down to it, it really doesn't matter if everyone likes

everyone else on the team. As long as they get some W's it doesn't. All teams have some friction from time to time between player and player and players and coaches. Just win and it's all good!

I don't.  I heard his press conferences and I am sick of it.  This is about ME, not the team.

But I guess to elaborate, not only was EB apparently upset over the treatment of some of the players that DD inherited, but on the weekends last fall it was all the former players on talk radio could talk about, and there were some blogs and tweets to that effect as well.

The current players are almost certainly not going to talk about it for obvious reasons, but it was not "overblown" at all IMO.  Just go back and listen to any Dooley presser at all, and he constantly slams the team.
