Did Arky's AD notify him in person about the leave, or did he leave a laminated note on his door?

Yes, I think I speak for all of Dirty Bird Nation when I say that I'm really enjoying this.  First the Saints get reamed, and now this?  It's like Christmas in April.

Not an NCAA violation, but this is bad for him personally, and I think the girl was a fiance of one of his coaches, and Petrino just happens to hire her a week ago

I'll leave the moral aspect of this aside. Having a fling and then hiring the individual involved at a state institution could be a thorny legal matter. That having been said my guess is she parts with a cash offering and Petrino stays. Also, Petrino strikes me as the kind of guy who doesn't like having to answer for things so if they come down on him hard he may just walk away. If so he'll get another job quickly.

C'mon Vinnie, her fiance wasn't one of his coaches. He's the strength and conditioning guy for Olympic sports.

Incidentally, their guestbook on TheKnot was highly entertaining until it was taken down. Numerous celebrities chimed in with comments. I offer the following two.

"fduksl jkldfsas kljfsfdodasin dkfasdfljdfdddfhh djfkdfljs!! from: Morris Claiborne "

"Let me call my buddy who's an expert on hot (women) taking motorcycle rides with married football coaches. from: Rick Harrison"

I believe the dude was one of his employees.

This could also be a sexual harrassment case

He also apparently had an ethics clause in his contact.

Petrino is in deep doo doo

"Legally" it may be construed, perhaps even "proven" as harrassment.  In reality
This is most certainly NOT harrassment.  He is a creep & she is a little gold digger.  She cute though.

I'm sure the powers that be at Arky will try to justify keeping him, but in the end, I don't see how they can.  If he had just messed around with a random girl, he could keep his job.  Presidents of the USA have survived that, why not a football coach?  If he had hired said random girl to work for him, it would be tough, but I still think he could survive.  But this wasn't just some random girl- she was the fiance of another AD employee.  So you have all three principals in this case working in the same building.  Obviously, that can't continue.  And if Arky moves to get rid of the girl and/or her fiance, they're opening themselves up to a huge lawsuit and a PR nightmare.  I don't think they have a choice here- they have to fire Petrino.  What really sucks is that within a year, that POS will probably land in a better job making more money.  There's no justice in the world.

He wins a lot of football games, therefore I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for him to be fired. They'll find a way to keep him. After all, this is the same state that produced Bill Clinton.

Should Petrino get fired it may not be a stretch for a certain recent signee to decide to change schools.
If Otha Peters approaches the UT about transferring what are your thoughts about taking him?

From the release I read, Petrino admitted to an indiscretion, but he did not say with whom.  It may or may not be with this woman.  If not this lady, he has some more explaining to do with his wife.

This could be really interesting. My wife is an Arkansas fan and when she told me Petrino had crashed I jokingly said "uh oh, Bobby Petrino just Tiger Woods' his career". Turns out that may not be a joke at all.

Jessica Dean ‏ @JessicaDean
Confirmed: AR state police commander asking for answers to questions relating Captain Lance King's response to Bobby Petrino folo accident.

Jessica Dean ‏ @JessicaDean
We can also confirm Petrino's cell called King, asking for help. Police report states King picked Petrino up at intersection in Fville.

Jessica Dean ‏ @JessicaDean
According to report, King was not the officer who responded to accident scene. That officer found no one when he arrived.

Chris Bahn ‏ @cbahn
King is the officer who works security detail for Arkansas football in-season. He transported Petrino to Physican's Specialty Hospital.

Chris Bahn ‏ @cbahn
In response to media inquiries, Arkansas State Police will further investigate Capt. Lance King's role in aftermath of Petrino crash.

As a wise man said, "alway two there are". People will talk to save their jobs, and when people talk what else is there to find out. My guess is this isn't Petrino's first go-round. No one gets caught the first time.

I'd be very surprised if it's not this woman.
