I've read? Where he likes to run his mouth on the floor. If true, I wonder if that's gotten him on the refs bad side? It has to be something because 50% of his fouls are very iffy.

That may be part of it.  But I would say a bigger part is the jersey he wears.  Remember UK's Ramel Bradley?  Anyone who has been around SEC hoops for a while will tell you he is the biggest shizzle talker they've ever seen.  You know how many times he fouled out in his career?  Hint: it's less than one.
