As long as he didn't lie about any barbecues I think we'll be good.

And a big recruit backs out as a result.

Why are you not surprised? Were there rumors about Tyndall before UT hired him?

Why are you not surprised? Were there rumors about Tyndall before UT hired him?

My take was that he's referring more to the general state of UT athletics. As surely as night follows day, bad news will follow good for us. We beat South Carolina, so something bad had to happen this week. It's the way the college sports universe balances itself out where we're concerned.

With that said, let's not forget that Morehead State was penalized for major recruiting violations in 2010 while Tyndall was there. And that was a concern that was raised when UT was looking at Tyndall back in the spring.

Whew.  Good thing we didn't re-hire Bruce Pearl.  We wouldn't want a coach with that kind of NCAA baggage.

Everyone was thinking it, I just said it.

I mean it's not like the NCAA can come after tyndall. They have proven they won't do that with Calipari.

If only it really worked that way....

Did you know that before he was commish of the Mac (I think, but some conference in the midwest), Slive's job was to defend schools being investigated by the NCAA?

Thus, my opinion is that he has become the biggest enabler of recruiting cheating in SEC history, allowing Calipari and Satan to cheat blatantly and thus build their teams into powerhouses.

Of course, someone who likes Slive might argue that he just knows where the loopholes are, but seriously...KY in bball and bammer in football are LITERALLY recruiting better than any school has in either sport in history, and doing it every year.  Coincidence?  Almost certainly not.

Who knows what we get after Slive, but I seriously wonder what will happen to KY and bammer without him around....
