I hate that all this "fire the coach" stuff starts and builds while the season is underway. I know it's unavoidable but it doesn't help matters at all and quite frankly I think it's harmful to the program. And certainly harmful to the present team.

If Martin isn't the guy, then he can be dismissed at the end of the season. But this constant harangue during the season doesn't do a bit of good.

Agree.  And regarding Pearl... I'd be all for it but those that claim to know here and on other boards still say "no chance at all" so until someone credible says different I'm not gonna give Pearl a second thought.

Those same people seem to think that Jimmy Cheek is the barrier to his re-hire, and beyond that seem to see Jimmy Cheek as an enemy of UT athletics. I think both of those propositions are preposterous, so while I'm not banking on Pearl getting another shot here, I'm also not going to be presumptuous about it either. JMO.

Agree.  I think it makes it worse than it is.

Pearl isn't coming back even thought 80 plus % of fans would welcome him back. If CCM is replaced it will hurt finding a worthy coach because of all the Pearl love and all the uprising for him to be rehired will cause and scare a potential good hire from wanting to come.....JMO
